China’s fascinating weaving of the future with ancient threads
When I first travelled in China in the mid 1990s it was obvious that the United States of America’s hegemony on the global stage was fading fast and that the People’s Republic of China was growing rapidly… and differently. By the mid 2020s, there now exists a dual hegemony. China is an ancient civilization that evolved into a modern country, while the USA is a modern country that developed its own distinct civilization.
There is so much diversity reflected in China’s geography, history, culture, politics and people. It is fascinating and important to understand it…
